Hydrodipping is one of our specialties! We offer the same high quality, high durability lifetime guarantee on our hydrodip projects as we do on our Cerakote projects. We use a VERY high quality gloss or matte clear coat over top of every hydrodip project and it is guaranteed to last a VERY long time.

There are so many different options when it comes to patterns that we can't really list them all but we use TWN INDUSTRIES and BIG BRAIN for the majority of our patterns, you can check out their websites and then simply add what film you would like to the order notes and we will make it happen. We will also contact you as soon as we receive your project to go over the details. We are also happy to dip whatever film you would like us to as long as it can be sourced.

The Hydro-Dip process utilizes a water-soluble film that contains a variety of patterns printed in ink. When laid on top of water the film will dissolve, leaving the ink on the surface and ready to adhere to the surface of our stocks. This process gives us the ability to provide complex and unique finishes for our customers.

Before dipping, the stocks are first coated with a primer or an adhesion promoter. After the primer is dry, a base coat of paint is applied which controls the hue of the pattern. Many hydrographic films are transparent, which means you can achieve unique looks by adjusting the base coat colors. For example, wood grain films often utilize a brown base coat, and many camouflage patterns require a specific base color to maintain the integrity of the pattern.

After the base coat is applied and dry, the item is ready for dipping. The film is activated and the item is dipped into the water where the ink wraps around it. Excess PVA residue is then washed off, the part is dried, and a protective clear coat is applied.
